I took a run this morning past one of my favorite spots in SF. Since I'm heading out tonight for some chiplomatic relations at Frito-Lay in Dallas, I thought I'd put up this pic because anytime I leave San Francisco, this kind of stuff is why you're so glad to get back.
Every night when I get home, Nigel & I usually take a walk to this lookout spot. About 6 blocks from our place.

My sister, Erin, sent me this article from the NYT on innovative parking decks. The basic gist is that city planners and developers are rethinking the way parking decks work in densely populated cities. Taking a cue from Tokyo and vending machine logic cars are getting auto stacked in robo-garages. Cool.
Erin is an urban planner in Montgomery County, Maryland. Right outside of D.C.
Charlie Chaplin's Limelight won an Academy Award in 1972, twenty years after it's original release in 1952. This strange occurrence was the result of an old academy rule that to be eligible for an Oscar, a film had to be shown in Los Angeles –- where Limelight had never been shown until two decades after its first release.
